ABOUT STOP THE VIOLENCE AND DANCE:
STOP THE VIOLENCE AND DANCE was founded in 2010 on the belief that all forms of dance essentially serve one purpose, to express one's soul in an artistic manner.
Today, many dancers are segregated, classified, and unjustly grouped into different categories of dance such as: modern, hip hop, jazz, house, ect. Our goal is to unite dancers from various styles, backgrounds, ethnicities, and ages. We strive to highlight the beauty of these different forms, preserve their roots and traditions, and educate people on history.
Additionally, we would like for dancers to cross train in new disciplines and for the audience to be open minded and appreciate other styles. This will ultimately expand the ability of the dancers and provide the opportunity for dance.
Furthermore, We will provide a competition that enables competitors to meet or exceed their expectations in the dance or vocal field and inspire them to strive for excellence. STOP THE VIOLENCE AND DANCE mission is to motivate and actuate all to embrace their potential, as well as to foster the infinite growth and improvement of its dancers to teach individuals to move as one.
